About Event

The Advanced Materials Processing Research Group (AMPRG) at IIT Gandhinagar presents a 5-day intensive "Workshop on Mechanical Testing of Materials" from September 9 to 13, 2026.

This hands-on workshop is designed to equip participants with foundational and advanced practical knowledge in material testing, experimental setups, and simulation techniques.

Fundamentals of Mechanical Testing: Strengthen understanding of core mechanical testing methods.

Hands-on Laboratory Sessions: Experience with advanced testing equipment, specimen preparation, and experimental data analysis.

Advanced Testing Techniques: Introduction to Digital Image Correlation (DIC), in-situ testing, multiaxial testing, etc.

Modelling & Simulation: Hands-on techniques to predict material behavior and correlate simulation results with experimental data.
